I’m lucky to have been blessed with skin that rarely sees any breakouts, although like everyone, I do get the odd monstrosity at a certain time of month, when I’m stressed and typically just before an important event!
I do however suffer from ingrown hairs on my legs.. the bane of most women’s lives, and whether you wax or shave, unfortunately there really is no escaping them.
I have been using the Waxperts Wonder Pads on my face and legs for a few months now, and they are revolutionary! If you suffer from ingrown hairs, shaving rashes, breakouts or Keratosis Pilaris, then you need these amazing pads in your life!
The pot contains 40 thin cotton pads that are infused with Salicylic acid, Rosmarinus and Panthenol. They are designed to be easily wiped over the skin to prevent ingrowing hairs forming and to also treat troublesome breakouts.
Salicylic acid is a girl’s best friend! This exfoliating ingredient helps keep spots at bay and removes dead skin cells from deep in the pores. It also helps the skin cells shed more frequently which prevents blocked pores in the future and it neutralises the bacteria within the skin. Rosemary extract is a soothing, anti-inflammatory ingredient that helps reduce redness and swelling and Panthenol provides hydration while preventing inflammation on the skin.
Admittedly, I’ve been a bit lazy about using these pads on my legs, but I do use them on my face when my skin is on the verge of a breakout. I incorporate them in my evening skincare routine, after cleansing and toning. I swipe the perforated side of the pad all over my face, concentrating on any angry areas and let it dry out any spots and perform miracles overnight! The following day, my breakouts are either significantly reduced without any redness, or they’ve completely disappeared.
I think these would be particularly good for people with acne prone skin as they are safe to use on any area of the face or body and don’t sting on application. They smell fresh, without being overpowering as rosemary can sometimes be.
They are perfect to use after waxing or shaving to get rid of any bumps on the skin. When I wax my eyebrows, I sometimes get tiny pimples and redness so I just swipe a pad over the area, and I’m left with smooth skin that doesn’t feel irritated.
The pot is only £6.50 and though it’s small, it lasts for ages! Next on my list of products to try is their Beautiful Body Oil which also has great reviews, but for now, these are my new best friend!
Have you tried these? What’s your holy grail product to combat breakouts?
