Take your mind out of the gutter.. I’m talking about facial skincare here! Soap and Glory are renowned for their witty, tongue in cheek humour and Glow Job certainly doesn’t disappoint! -You gotta love a good cheeky pun!
All jokes aside, I’ve recently become a big fan of Soap & Glory skincare. I wanted to try some of their other products and found myself in Boots during one of their infamous 3 for 2 sales.. I couldn’t have timed it better!
My skin has become a little dry and dull over the winter months, and so I was instantly drawn to the word ‘glow’! This lotion contains small micro-beads that pop when you massage it into your skin, leaving a sheer, bronzed, natural finish. At first I thought the formula was slightly bizarre, white in colour and looks like an exfoliator until you massage it in properly, but it isn’t greasy, applies smoothly and leaves a beautiful finish.
I must admit, I didn’t realise this product contained tanning ingredients when I bought it, and thought it may be a great dupe for the Clarins beauty flash balm. On the other hand, if I had known that, I never would have bought it, as I’m not one for tanning my skin! Don’t let this put you off though, The tan is only temporary and can be washed off. On my skintone, the bronze finish is barely detectable and just gives me a healthy glow. I think this is a fantastic product, giving my skin a boost of ‘natural’ radiance and a sheer, iridescent finish, while being lightly hydrating.
I generally don’t have dry skin, but feel like this could cling to my dry patches if I were to wear it alone, so I use the S&G serum as my base. I mostly use it as a ‘primer’ before applying my foundation, but it can be worn alone as a tinted moisturiser. I much prefer it to the Clarins beauty flash balm, and at less than half the price, for £11, it’s a big thumbs up from me!
Soap and Glory have done it again! What are your S&G must haves?
