I’ve never done a favourites post or video but as I’ve just done 5 countries in 6 weeks, it’ll come as no surprise that travel is at the top of my list and I wanted to share some of the things I have been loving whilst away.

As much as I like travelling though, I’m not a huge fan of flying. Thankfully, I’ve never had a fear of flying but long haul flights are simply just tiresome and you quickly run out of things to do.

Skincare routine – tick  ✔

Try to sleep, fail miserably & end up with a sore neck – tick  ✔

Read a book – who am I kidding! I never read any book I ever take with me.

Play Solitaire; the only game I have on my phone – tick  ✔

Try to edit a video while the person behind & next to me is asleep (so they don’t think I’m a weirdo) – tick  ✔

Watch re-runs of the Big Bang Theory from the past few seasons – tick  ✔

Delete photos (well, ridiculous screenshots you will never need) from your camera roll because you forgot to do it before you left – tick

Eat everything that’s put in front of you – tick  ✔

Keep scrolling through your phone (unsuccessfully) trying to find things to do without using wifi – tick

Regret drinking lots of water because let’s face it, aeroplane toilets are the worst! Yuk! – tick

..and after all that, you realise there are still 8 hours to go before you land.

*rolls eyes*

Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser

This was the sample I got in my M&S beauty advent calendar last year and it’s all I’ve used for the past 2 months. A little really goes a long way as you can see, and though it doesn’t remove makeup that well, it leaves my skin feeling super clean and fresh without stripping it of it’s natural oils. With no residue and dry or tight feeling left on the skin, it’s definitely one to add to my never ending list of repurchases I would make.

I would however, probably only repurchase this in travel form as the Pixi + Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse (another fave) transformed my skincare game by making me realise how much I love the feeling of a cleansing balm on my skin. The way it annihilates all traces of makeup while working it into the skin is incredible. I love this as a ‘luxurious’ skincare routine I would do at home, but for travel, the packaging is a bit bulky and I just want a simpler routine.

The Philosophy Purity cleanser, paired with a mini bottle of Garnier micellar water & some cotton pads is perfect for travel – especially as I don’t bother with makeup in hot climates, so a single cleanse is sufficient.

Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask

This mask, that I reviewed in depth here, was a lifesaver pre, during and post flight! Super hydrating and cooling on the skin; it’s a brilliant way to kill a bit of time on long haul flights while indulging in a pamper session and nourishing the skin. Though the mask looks green, it’s actually clear and can’t be detected on the skin, so it can be used ‘in public’ without worrying you’ll give somebody a fright!

Caudalie Beauty Elixir

While this isn’t a necessity in any beauty routine, there’s no denying that this is one of the best smelling spritzes on the market. The mist promises to tighten pores, smooth fine lines, set makeup and give a boost of radiance, but honestly, through my sporadic use I haven’t noticed any long term benefits yet.

I simply adore the scent; a combination of grape, orange blossom, rose, mint and rosemary and it really ‘wakes my skin up’ giving me a much needed boost after a long flight and during a very sweaty trek up a waterfall!

While it isn’t the most travel friendly packaging in a glass bottle, I still managed to traipse around South East Asia with this travel sized bottle in my backpack.

OGX Coconut Water Shampoo & Conditioner

I have been a huge fan of OGX shampoo and conditioners for a while now simply because of their extensive range suitable for every hair type with an inexpensive price tag and salon worthy results. If you’re looking for silky, smooth hair that feels lightweight – well, as lightweight as thick curly hair can possibly be.. Look no further.

My hair is naturally extremely dry and frizzy and no amount of hydration is ever really enough. This fantastic duo not only removes all the dirt and grease from my scalp, it hydrates and conditions my hair like no other. As you can imagine, the smell is divine; filling the entire bathroom like a tropical breeze. It’s so dreamy!

FYI the Brazilian Keratin Smooth set is my favourite range for the days I straighten my hair and want it to last for a few days. For me, the process starts at the beginning and, not to quote Tesco, but every little bit helps. The keratin proteins in the shampoo and conditioner help to smooth out the frizz and soften the hair, prepping it for an hour long blow dry and straightening session. Prior to discovering this duo, the process used to take 2 hours and it was such a faff! *snore*

Kiko Night Balm Nourishing Lip Treatment

As an avid liquid lipstick aficionado, there are countless lip balms I have tried and tested that just don’t make the cut. This little pot however, is a game changer and quite honestly, it just does what it says on the tin.. really, really well!

Though it’s marketed as an overnight treatment, it performs just as well during the day, both alone and under lipstick. Say goodbye to dry, cracked, flaky lips – nobody likes that feeling!

Nakd Bars

A bit of a random addition, but I couldn’t not include my new favourite snack! I have recently been obsessed with Nakd bars – so much so that I dragged my friend to Costco, armed with his membership card just so that I can stock up on an industrial sized multipack before my travels.

We all know that cereal bars are the easiest thing to throw into your handbag on busy days that you’re out and about. However, unlike the other ones available, these are dairy, gluten and wheat-free, made from 100% natural ingredients consisting of purely raw fruit, spices and nuts and they’re actually filling! This is what sold me in the first place as more often than not, I’ll have a packet of crisps or a cereal bar and still be hungry five minutes later. What a waste of calories!

My flavour of choice is the berry delight, closely followed by the cocoa orange and then the cashew cookie.

Too Faced Born This Way Concealer in Tan

I almost forgot to mention that I found another concealer in the perfect shade for my skin tone! If you’re a long time viewer of my channel, you’ll know that there are literally 2 brands I have come across that do my perfect shade of concealer. The Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Caramel and the MUFE Ultra HD Concealer in Y41 – the struggle is real.

I swatched this little gem in Sephora in Malaysia and as I wasn’t convinced it would be perfect, I went back the next day with my Nars concealer in tow. I’m so sick of wasting money on base products that ‘look’ like they’ll be a good match under the poor lighting in stores that these are the lengths I now go to! Anyway, it looked identical to my beloved Nars one, and fully aware that we can buy this in the UK, I couldn’t resist throwing it into my basket.. just in case!

I also bought another concealer that I’m still on the fence about, but I think it’s best I save that for a future Sephora haul video. What do you think?

Let me know if you have any particular favourites from this month, I always love to hear about what you guys have been loving!
