Maybelline had this mascara hyped up from the word go and of course I had to try it. Not long after jumping on the bandwagon, this mascara became my holy grail! Let me tell you why..
While I’m not a huge fan of the garish, chunky packaging that Maybelline are renowned for, I love how pretty this is. The brush is excellent; a curved silicone wand with short bristles on the inside and longer, separated bristles on the outside which makes application a breeze.
This mascara creates lovely definition, length and best of all, holds a curl! -Even my nightmare lashes are slightly lifted! While this may not sound amazing to some, I have spent most of my life trying to find a mascara that lifts my stubborn lashes. If you’re someone who has short lashes, definitely give this a go, however, if it’s volume you’re after, this wouldn’t be the mascara for you. In an ideal world, I would want a mascara to hold a curl, lengthen and thicken my lashes.. but you can’t have it all!
I sometimes pair this with another mascara to get both length and volume, however the curl doesn’t hold as well then. I can only assume it’s because of the weight of multiple coats on my lashes.
The formula isn’t too wet or dry which is perfect, it’s slightly opaque and doesn’t transfer. It’s also very long lasting and easy to remove, which I love.
My ‘back-ups drawer’ currently contains three of these..
