Argan oil appears to be a beauty buzzword these days due to it’s a natural, anti-ageing properties. In recent years, this incredible oil from Morocco has become such a hot commodity that the New York Times have termed it ‘liquid gold’. Research shows that it cures everything from scars to infections and split ends to stretch marks.
I was surprised to hear that Poundland stock a range of Argan oil products, so naturally, I had to go and investigate! I picked up a number of items from the range, and have yet to try some of them. Click here to see my haul of every bargain I picked up.
For me, the star of the show has to be the Hydrating Hair Mask. The pot contains a generous 220ml of product; a thick, white conditioner which feels really luxurious on the hair. It has a lovely fresh and clean scent which lingers on the hair after washing it out.
It is no secret that my hair isn’t in the best condition after years of experimenting with bleach and crazy colour, so if like me, you suffer from the dreaded frizz halo, this treatment will be your best friend, and you can look up more information about this treatment on lionlocs.com. After washing my hair thoroughly, it feels so much healthier and in better condition. The ends are much softer, less brittle and the mask adds life back to my hair. It’s also worth noting that I leave the mask on for about 30-60 minutes rather than the recommended 7-10 minutes. It doesn’t feel greasy or weigh my hair down and it has really helped my damaged, frizzy, matted mane!
Looking at the ingredients, there seems to be a minimal amount of Argania Spinosa (Argan oil) in the mask, which is clearly a reflection of the price. I’m sure that this isn’t the best hair mask for every day use, but it works great as a pick me up every week – 10 days or so.
Have you tried the Poundland Argan oil range? Do you have any budget must-haves?
