To say that I’m obsessed with the Tarte Tartelette Palette is an understatement. -A love affair has blossomed and I feel kind of bad for my other palettes that aren’t getting a look in.
This is the matte lover’s ultimate dream, containing 12 shades of matte goodness with the colour combinations handily laid out for you. -It doesn’t get easier than that.
I’m a complete sucker for packaging, and this is no exception. It’s so beautiful and compact, I adore the purple ombre case with the gold detailing, and of course the huge mirror inside; – I can do my full face with this this, it’s such a luxury. Of all the palettes I own, this is perfect for travel as it’s small and light with a variety of shades – neutrals and purples, both of which are my favourites.
There is a decent mix of cool and warm tones so you can create many different looks with just the one palette. It’s perfect for a natural daytime look as all the shadows are matte, and the darker shades can be used to create a deeper smokey eye. Each row also appears to have a colour scheme, which is great for eyeshadow newbies, although I’ve yet to use them in that order. –Such a rebel!
Each shade is so velvety soft and buttery, with barely any fallout and great colour payoff. They don’t kick up too much powder either, and with no chalkiness or dryness, there’s not a single shade that I don’t love. Matte eyeshadows are generally known to be quite difficult to blend, however it’s not a big deal.. all it takes is an extra few seconds, a fluffy brush and a light hand.
I’ve heard rumours that this palette is now available in the UK which is fab news for us deprived British beauty junkies! As far as I know, the shades aren’t available individually which is a shame as I can see myself hitting pan on a few very quickly!
I’ve never owned an all matte palette, Tarte have definitely hit the nail on the head with this. If you are lucky enough to be able to get your hands on it, then I would highly recommend it.
