When it comes to eyeshadow primer, Urban Decay’s Original Primer Potion is probably the most renowned primer on the market. I can’t express just how much I love this product, and I don’t talk about it enough.
I stumbled upon this a few years ago when I bought my first Naked palette and got a tiny sample with it. I wasn’t a fan of the packaging back then as it wasted more product than it supplied, but this sleek squeezy-tube is a vast improvement!
The formula is on point! My eyeshadow stays in place all day, looks flawless and I no longer worry about creasing, which used to be a huge issue for me. The nude creamy formula provides a bright and clean canvas for any eye makeup, making my eyeshadow appear much more vibrant.
The needle-nose tip makes its so easy to squeeze out a small amount, and you only need a tiny amount of product for each application. I like to apply it with my fingertips, all over the eyelid right up to the brow bone. On my clients however, I use a small flat shader brush and get the same results. –A little goes a long way.
I’ve also picked up another neat little trick, using the primer potion under my eyes prior to applying my concealer. Some days, I use two concealers (one to conceal and one to highlight) and find that it always creases. Using this primer underneath it stops any creasing, and again, provides a flawless base. -It really works!
