This Robinson Cyprus review is all about a resort that genuinely surprised me. Robinson Club is a unique 4 star luxury wellness resort for people who enjoy an active holiday with water sports included and a strong focus on health, wellbeing and relaxation. Unlike any other resort I have stayed at, I really enjoyed my time here.
Located on a long sandy beach in Alaminos, a short drive away from Larnaca airport, this brand new hotel only opened a year ago and they offer an abundance of top-quality sports, water sports and activities.
Guests can spend their days floating away on a paddle board or catamaran or choose to go up and over the waves on a windsurf or kitesurf. For those wanting to enjoy some time on land, the hotel has 9 tennis courts, a gym with top quality equipment and countless fitness classes all included in the price of the holiday. In the evenings, the hotel host entertainment shows and theatre performances, live music, gala dinners, cabaret and themed parties.
Press Trip with Robinson, however, all views are entirely my own. Many thanks to Robinson Cyprus for hosting my stay.

As well as the evening entertainment, delicious food and drink on a full board basis, there are many optional extras too, including archery classes and more. I’ve written all about the best way to spend a day here at Robinson Cyprus.
Ideal for couples and families with children of all ages; parents can relax as the kids (from the age of 3 upwards) are kept entertained at the top-quality children and teenage clubs. It isn’t difficult to see why many people choose to stay here for 12-15 days – the variety of activities available are endless.
We flew from the UK to Cyprus with TUI on an evening flight and arrived at Robinson Cyprus at around 2.30am. Incredibly tired on arrival, we had a quick briefing to check-in and our bags were whisked away to our rooms. We were then escorted to our rooms as the property is like a maze, and finding our way back to our rooms proved somewhat tricky in the coming days.
Robinson Cyprus Review

The lobby is set on the first floor, with a spiral staircase going down to the grounds. As you walk down the stairs, there is an impressive array of palms; like a mini indoor rainforest to the side. Going out through the double doors, showcases a fabulous view of the bougainvillea and jasmine plants that adorn the grounds of this property, all around the terrace.

The Room at Robinson Cyprus
Upon entering my room, I was immediately impressed. As Robinson Cyprus is only a year old, our rooms were newly refurbished, spotless, spacious and minimal in design with more than enough space. Neutral beige and cream décor with pale wood furniture and accents of warm grey added to the luxury and gave the room an air of calm.
I was greeted by two colourful platters of food; greek salad, bread, fruit and a bottle of wine – but I was far too tired to pay much attention considering it was almost 3am at this point.
We each had a double room, and they were equipped with a balcony, much needed air conditioning, a safety deposit box, a TV and a fridge.

The Bathroom at Robinson Cyprus
Nestled between the wardrobes, the middle door reveals the most extravagant bathroom I have seen. With neutral beige textured tiles and accents of white and silver, it felt very spa-like and smelled lovely too.
A large round mirror takes centre stage as soon as you open the door, and underneath it is a large sink area – perfect for unpacking all your toiletries, and with great lighting to do your makeup. There is also a magnifying mirror (eek) to the side, should you need to use it. Double sinks would have made it just that little bit better
There were plenty of soft fluffy towels, both for the room and pool use. I didn’t pay any attention to whether there was a hairdryer in the room, as it isn’t something I ever use, but I’m sure there must have been.

The WC was at one side of the sink, somewhat hidden from the view as you open the door and there was a large walk-in shower on the other side, complete with a fabulous oversized rain shower.

The bathroom was kitted out with vegan products in reusable packaging; organic sage and blackcurrant hand and body wash, which smelt gorgeous. No sign of shampoo or conditioner though which I thought was unusual.

The Grounds & Activities
The property has direct access to a beach in Alaminos, where the hotel offer a plethora of water sports activities, beach volleyball and more. My personal favourite was SUP (stand up paddleboarding) and you can watch clips of my amateur attempt at it in my youtube vlog.
Options for activities and classes here are endless. There are 9 tennis courts, an astro-turf football pitch, yoga studio overlooking the beach, archery classes, bike hire, urban golf courses and more. There is also a beautiful spa.

There are two large outdoor pools on the property; wrapped around the pool bar and palm trees swaying in the wind, with seating and sun loungers all around, the temperature of the water is warm and the vibe relaxed. We were there during a German bank holiday, and the resort was full, however, there is so much to do here that people can spread out, so that it didn’t feel full. The pools didn’t have many people in either and no kids splashing around, which is always a treat.
Roby Club is a kids club that is open 6 days a week for children from the age of 3. They have a baby pool and a sports programme for 13-15 year olds.
There are four bars at the hotel; the pool bar, breeze club, tennis bar and a nightclub which is open from midnight until 3am.

Food And Drink
Robinson Cyprus is a full board resort, so this includes breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets with selected drinks included at meal times. These meals are all served in the main restaurant and can be enjoyed inside or out on the terrace. There is also a limited menu at the breeze bar at slightly later times for those wanting a lie in.
The menu is delicious and healthy, with locally sourced ingredients and a plethora of options for various dietary requirements. Carbohydrate-conscious, with minimal fat and high-quality protein, the menu, inspired by Ayurveda nutritional findings is designed to energise and balance your body.
The poke bowl station was the highlight of lunch for me, with countless options, followed by a number of Cypriot and Asian-inspired salads. Be warned though, you will inevitably end up consuming your body weight in halloumi, but you are in Cyprus after all, so it is to be expected!

There are a couple of options for dinner; as well as the main restaurant, you can have dinner at the beach restaurant on selected evenings. Here you can have a BBQ overlooking the beach and the experience is quite like no other. The food here is exceptionally good.

Drinks and snacks are available throughout the day, outside of meal times for an additional charge. My personal favourite was getting an iced coffee with hazelnut milk every morning from the bar.
Robinson clubs also host weekly gala events called ROBCarpet Dinners, with live music, food and drink as well as signature cocktails. It’s a glam, dressy even which you can read more about here.
The beach club is the place to be between 4.30 and 6.30pm; the perfect spot for sundowners as day turns to dusk. You grab a cocktail, collapse onto a bean bag, listen to the live DJ and watch the sun disappear into the sea in the distance.

The Well-Fit Spa
Allowing yourself be pampered at the well-fit spa is the ultimate luxury and something much needed from a wellness break. Set towards the beach, it houses an indoor pool, a gym that holds multiple fitness classes such as pilates and spin, 3 saunas and a steam room.
There are a multitude of treatments on offer; from mani-pedis, aryuvedic massages, peeling and detoxing treatments, facials, Thai massages and more.
I booked in for an algae detox wrap and it was glorious. My therapist was lovely, the treatment felt very premium and I left feeling incredibly relaxed, detoxed and with baby soft skin. Afterwards, all I wanted to do was spend an hour or relaxing on a sun lounger.
Currently, prices start from £818 per person for seven nights (hotel only). You can book your stay here. Subject to availability and booking conditions apply.
