If somebody was to ask what my favourite makeup brand is, there’s no way I’d be able to answer that, as there are so many brands I use and love on a regular basis. If somebody however, was to ask what my favourite skincare brand is, it would hands down be Pixi!
I use so many of their products and think they’re such a great, high-end quality but affordable skincare brand – and what more could you ask for!?
There isn’t a day that goes by without me using at least one Pixi skincare product. I have so many favourites from the brand, but these are my current top 5.

PIXI GLOW TONIC
If there’s one word that I would associate with Pixi, it’s glow – so it’s no surprise that one of the first products I ever tried from the brand was their iconic; Glow Tonic.
Gone are the days of a physical exfoliant, it’s all about gentler, chemical exfoliants these days. I’m sure I’m not the only one who remembers that awful St. Ives apricot scrub from the 90s and early 00s!?
This chemical exfoliator is formulated with 5% Glycolic Acid, so it’s gentle enough to be used on a daily basis, yet effective enough to keep congestion at bay. With daily use every evening, my skin feels soft and smooth with refined pores and a brighter appearance.
It has been a staple in my routine for around 4 or 5 years now. I’ve been through numerous bottles of the stuff, so believe the hype, it’s true what they say – this product is amazing!
If you want to dip your toes into Pixi skincare, I highly recommend you start with this one. I’m certain you will love it!

PIXI VITAMIN C SERUM
I often find that my skin is quite sensitive to vitamin C however I love the brightening properties of vitamin C and the effect this serum has on my skin.
It helps to uneven skin tone and firm the skin, but it’s particularly useful if you have any hyperpigmentation. This is music to my ears, as I’m aware that Asian skin is more prone to dark spots and hyperpigmentation due to the increased amount of melanin in our skin.
So I use it every other morning, along with the lotion after I’ve cleansed my skin and before I apply make-up. As my skin is sensitive to vitamin C, I can’t use it every day as it would break me out, but if you don’t have that problem, you can use it daily. I also love the faint lemon/citrussy scent it has!

I use this in conjunction with the Vitamin C serum every other day, and it’s a great combination. I literally add 1-2 drops of the serum into a blob of lotion so it looks like a mini fried egg on my fingers, and then apply both to my skin, together.
Though it’s described as a lotion, it has a really creamy texture and sinks in to the skin beautifully, making a great base for makeup application. It’s incredibly nourishing on the skin and would be a great summer moisturiser because it’s so light.
For normal to combination skin, it’s perfect – however, if you have sensitive skin or are simply sensitive to fragrance in your skincare, then this may not be the one for you. For dry skin types, you may want to try something a bit richer.
PIXI + CAROLINE HIRONS DOUBLE CLEANSE
I have an indepth review of this Double Cleanse here, and it’s still one of my favourites. Or you can watch the video below:
PIXI GLOW MUD MASK
This is one of those products that I thought I’d hate as I often find mud and clay masks to be quite drying on the skin, but this Pixi one really took me by surprise!
Surprisingly, it’s hydrating on the skin and doesn’t require any serious upper body strength to remove it – like other mud masks do, which my skin is very grateful for!
I apply a layer over cleansed skin and leave it on for around 15-20 minutes. I remove it with a damp face towel and my skin feels deeply cleansed and looks glowy! I love using this when my skin looks and feels congested to keep blemishes at bay!
