In keeping with our new years resolution to explore London this year, Jass and I found ourselves at The Attendant Coffee Roasters in the heart of London’s trendy urban neighbourhood, Fitzrovia.

Attendant Coffee Roasters

As we descended into The Attendant Coffee Roasters , we were greeted by an atmosphere unlike any other. The space, formerly a Victorian gentleman’s toilet, had been transformed into a quirky coffee haven. Despite its unconventional beginnings, The Attendant exuded charm and character from every corner.

One couldn’t help but marvel at the preservation of the original features that adorned the walls. Cracked tiles and vintage hand dryers served as reminders of the space’s storied past. Yet, amidst the remnants of a bygone era, The Attendant had undergone a remarkable transformation, now boasting cozy seating areas and vibrant green bar stools that added a modern touch to the space.

Let’s just say that the cups and saucers aren’t the only porcelain you’ll find in there!

Most of the original features remain intact on the walls; cracked tiles and hand dryers. The urinals have been converted into tiny individual tabletops and have the addition of green bar stools to match the colour of the original tiles.

Alongside the artisan Caravan coffee, they serve an extensive range of gourmet food all day, full of local and ethically sourced ingredients.

Eager to indulge in the offerings of this unique establishment, we perused the menu, which boasted an impressive selection of gourmet food made from locally and ethically sourced ingredients. From savoury sandwiches to delectable pastries, there was something to tempt every palate.

Despite arriving late in the afternoon, the display of freshly baked cakes was too enticing to resist. After much deliberation, I settled on a classic cappuccino paired with ‘The Elvis’ brownie. As the name suggested, this indulgent treat paid homage to the legendary musician with its generous portions of banana, caramel, and the occasional crunch of peanuts. It was a decadent delight that exceeded my expectations, leaving me eager to return and explore more of The Attendant’s culinary offerings.
